How to Avoid Scams on Deep Web!

Postby ltx_Lazzarus » Wed Apr 24, 2024 6:58 am

1.- Nowadays, most of the little grubs from Asia, India, Turkey and some from Europe as well are doin' their dodgy scammin' on the Deep Web.

2.- 90% of the stores and markets on the Deep Web are just a big fat scam.

3.- Steer clear of any stores, markets, and vendors who use a WhatsApp number for contact. Those are mostly just little Aussie battlers from Asia or India with a bogan mentality, thinkin' no one will catch on if they use their own country's numbers. No legit vendor or market on the Deep Web would ever use WhatsApp for contact if they had any brains.

4.- Try havin' a yarn with the vendor or market, and soon enough, you'll spot the grammatical errors and busted English. These poor buggers are mostly from India, Asia, or places like Turkey where English ain't their first lingo. Avoid any vendor from these countries 'cause they're 100% scammers, and they'd be stoked if you agreed to pay 'em $100 for an $800 product or service.

5.- Try to haggle with the vendor or market. If they keep droppin' the price or if you ask 'em to sell an $800 product or service for $200 and they agree, ditch 'em straight away. No legit vendor or market would wanna lose that much money on a product or service. Only a scammer would wanna get whatever they can from the buyer and do a runner.

6.- Avoid any onions and markets with automated payment pages and just one bitcoin address listed for all purchases.

7.- Always check reviews from real people, ask questions and it's safer to use Escrow. Likewise, genuine marketers will be willing to use PGP to communicate.

There used to be some goood places where people would review markets and products. Are they still around? Not using PGP is not always an indicator of scam, some people are just lazy or don't understand. I have tried so many times and just gave up at some point because the vendor kept sending me clear text messages and disregarded my public key.

Too right, some blokes don't always chuck on PGP, but it's bloody important to do so. Heaps of those Russian ransomware mobs, Middle Eastern APTs, real hackers, are always using PGP and yakking on their own XMPP bulletproof servers/domains. Fair crack of the whip, not many people know how to suss it out or are just too slack.

I'm not sure if those groups that do the once-over on markets are still kicking around, reckon they might be, but what I do is either use tor taxi, or ask me trusty mates to point me in the right direction for good markets.

Good on you mate the Lazarus. It is important to use it and I always do because I don't want to be tied to them. It is insane how they have no regard for opsec. Keep those trusty mates close. They can bail you ouut oor lend you soome money when you need it.
