Firstly, what is Spyware? We define spyware as anything that contains telemetry, calling home, automatic updates, or is eavesdropping without the user's knowledge or consent.

SeaMonkey is a web browser, e-mail client, newsreader, HTML editor and IRC client: https://www.seamonkey-project.org/about

Requests
SeaMonkey initiates approximately 35 requests upon commencement, with links to Google SafeBrowsing occurring approximately every half hour.

Mitigation
1. In the initial phase, it would be prudent to disable internet connectivity prior to commencing usage of the aforementioned web browser.

2. Proceed to input the address 'about:config' and seek out the aforementioned settings, thereafter adjusting them according to the aforementioned parameters:

  • browser.safebrowsing.phishing.enabled -> false
  • browser.safebrowsing.malware.enabled -> false
  • startup.homepage_override_url -> about:blank
  • extensions.update.enabled -> false
  • app.update.enabled -> false
  • browser.safebrowsing.provider.mozilla.updateURL -> https://safebrowsing-disabled
  • extensions.blocklist.enabled -> false
  • browser.search.geoip.url -> https://location-services-disabled
  • browser.startup.homepage -> about:blank

CONCLUSION
Upon executing the aforementioned configuration, the SeaMonkey application is now:
Spyware Level: → Not Spyware
