How to use my home wifi but still stay hidden?

I was doing some reading on opsec where the guide said you must use a public wifi not you home wifi. question is there a way to use my home wifi and still stay hidden?

First, u need the appropiate hardware; networks cards from Alfa compatible with Kali. Ensure that ur laptop is equipped with USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports, and read: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=14138
