OPSec | OS / Work PC

Postby TheVikingsofDW » Sat Feb 24, 2024 1:44 am

- The two main OS to operate online when you're a cyber criminal, is to run Whonix in a VM or booting Tails from USB with persistance storage.
Imho, I prefer use Tails if you're operate at a cyber criminal level.

- Nothing should ever be saved onto your main PC HD, except Virtualbox, Veracrypt, software in general. All your dangerous plans, files, malwares, payloads, hacked databases, etc. ALWAYS should be saved onto a USB encrypted (not discussed).

- What about purchase your work laptop? You need purchase your "work" laptop only with cash in the store. Keep your laptop for hacking, carding, or whatever you use, away from your personal life; do not tell anyone (family, friends, etc.) what do you do in your PC, never checking your personal accounts like Facebook, X, IG, Gmail, anything. (If you do this bad opsec, the feds gonna caught you like the users and admins of silkroad a few years ago), and never connect your personal devices to the network your dedicate for the work laptop, also this work laptop never connect to your home Wi-Fi, this can be associated to you real identity.

- I prefer the gaming laptops for hacking for the high resources, like Alienware or Asus. At the moment you connect any Microsoft or Apple ID to the internet, you're sending a lot of info about yourself. Avoid using Windows unless testing malware against it. Linux is much more private than Windows or MacOS. However, you'll come to realize one day that you should be proficient with using most OS and operating safely online.
You can use windows, macos, and linux as your OS host because everybody have different prefers, BUT you should always using a VM when it comes to ciber crime or anything illegal.

- You need have basics knowledges of commands on Linux/Unix, is a good time to learn it if you plan getting your hacker face on. You can learn on YouTube Channels (in special the thousands channels of GOAT Indians lol), or just purchase a course online.

- Now, if you're a vendor or a simple guy looking to purchase some drugs or whatever you want from DW, then you might be interested in purchasing just a cheap laptop and booting Tail OS from USB with an obsf4 bridge.

- Finally, always use a strong passwords/passphrase on everything you set up.

Obviously, this is not enough to stay safe, but i will upload the other parts asp.

Just for begin, take some professional certificates and courses like: CISSP, OS*****, GIAC, CEH, etc. It's important to be a professional hacker.
